Kate Moss totes her new BBF - the namesake ‘Kate’ fringe bag by Genevieve Jones

Wouldn’t you love to have a bag named after you? If we did, we’d be carrying it around everywhere too. Kate Moss recently attended the launch of the SingStar ‘Take That’ Extravaganza at The Tabernacle in London, England with this statement-making bag in tow. She has been spotted on multiple other occasions toting her new BBF^TM (bag best friend), the black Kate Fringe Bag by friend and fellow It girl Genevieve Jones. Jones, who for years had no job to speak of but managed to rise to the top of the social ladder and has recently become a fine jewelry/luxury handbag designer. Mmmk. But this Kate bag isn’t half bad. It’s crafted from Italian lambskin leather and embellished with a lengthy shoulder strap and fringe. It also has gold logo hardware and a drawstring closure. Not bad for a socialite turned designer.

Blake Lively and her Chanel Bag Best Friend

Blake Lively just can’t seem to live without her Chanel Bubble Quilted Flap Bag! The Gossip Girl star was spotted earlier this year leaving dinner at the Waverly Inn toting the wine-colored bag.

Next, she at played around at the The Lipton Green VitaliTEA Gift Lounge Backstage at the Nokia Theatre during the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards, Chanel bag swinging from her arm.

Most recently, Blake visited Saks Fifth Avenue with designer Giuseppe Zanotti and she kicked up her heels while clutching the brown version of the bag.

Chanel - “The Hills” girls never leave home without it

Whitney Port, former Hills girl and current star of MTV’s The City, attended the “LC Lauren Conrad” event with Lauren Conrad & Kohl’s department stores at 8432 Melrose Place last week in Los Angeles, California. The girls of the show seem to live and die by Chanel purses, mainly the Chanel Classic Flap bag that Whitney’s carrying in cream. Every time we see this group, at lest one of them is wearing a Chanel purse. Is that the California girl uniform? Or just the bag supplied to any girl on MTV? Fellow Hills girl Lauren “Lo” Bosworth was also there with a Chanel bag of her own.

Kim Kardashian’s BBF - her black Balenciaga

Is it just me or does it seem like every time Kim Kardashian is photographed shopping, it looks staged? She was spotted out this week with pregnant sister Kourtney shopping in West Hollywood, and as usual she didn’t appear to be caught off guard, or makeup-less, or dressed less than fabulously. It’s like she has a deal with the paparazzi. She’s also rarely photographed without her BBF^TM (bag best friend) - her Balenciaga bag in hand. This girl could have any bag she wants but it seems this basic black bag is her fave and gets her through those staged shopping days.

What would another day be without another Rihanna spotting in NYC? The girl about town was seen headed to the studio wearing the Parker Floral Cami Dress, Prada lace-up open-toe booties, and her new BBF^TM (bag best friend), the Alexander Wang Jess Small Shopper. This $895 deconstructed bag looks like it was MADE for Rihanna - a double handled leather tote featuring slash detail all over. It doesn’t get edgier than this.
