The husband and wife were spotted out in West Hollywood strolling hand in hand, looking quite cozy. And fashionable, of course. Gwen is the designer so it only makes sense she would be dressed to the nines. She wore a chic black cutout dress accessorized with black stiletto booties, the L.A.M.B Morgan Clutch and her signature red lip. Gavin looked laid-back in his denim jacket and baggy black cargo pants. The couple that stays fashionable together stays together!

Jada Pinkett Smith carries Judith Leiber to 3rd Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon

Jada Pinkett-Smith is usually a glam goddess at awards shows but this look left us scratching our heads. She attended the 3rd Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon at Beverly Hills Hotel wearing a beaded, metallic caftan-style dress, gold-studded tan sandals, hoop earrings, several rows of gold and silver bracelets on each arm, and a gold Judith Leiber clutch. She wore her hair in a high ponytail with a draped braid down the front. Though her makeup was gorgeous, her outfit made her look less glam goddess; more Greek god. While we love Jada, we hate to say this look wasn’t her best one. But we still heart her overall style and acting chops.

Yikes! Philly-born Rapstress Eve apparently owes $357,000 to the IRS after falling behind on her income taxes in 2008 and 2009. She has four different liens that have been filed against her by the IRS and the state of California. The IRS is one arm of the government that doesn’t play. Eve better hold on to that silver Metallic Leather Tory Burch Clutch tight before the IRS comes to take it off your hands!

We heart Joy Bryant. She always looks so effortlessly fresh-faced and pretty. She doesn’t follow trends, and often looks like she just grabbed something quickly from her closet, but the result is always chic. Take this ensemble that she wore to her Parenthood premiere at the Director’s Guild Theater in Los Angeles. She wore a polka dot chiffon tunic with a black miniskirt and accessorized with minimal jewelry and makeup and the Botkier Isis clutch. The total look is so effortless but still red carpet-worthy. How can you not love her style?

If I had a Mulberry bag named after me, I’m not sure I would ever carry anything else. But there are always exceptions to be made when it comes to Chanel. Brit ‘It’ girl Alexa Chung may have scored a namesake Mulberry bag but clearly she’s partial to her Chanel bags too. She was spotted at the afterparty for the ELLE Style Awards in London, England wearing her pink Chanel, crossbody style. No Mulberry in sight. But can you blame her? Joan Rivers hates Victoria Beckham’s Hermes handbag habit

Hey Joan, jealous much?

Joan Rivers, the red carpet critic that we all love to hate has reportedly blasted Victoria “Posh” Beckham for being ‘vulgar’ in parading around expensive handbags. Rivers said: ‘Victoria Beckham should get a life. I am not a fan of outrageous consumption. I think it is vulgar. And no-one should flaunt that they have a hundred Hermes bags. Not when people are starving. Everyone should be allowed to have a great time, but she shows a distinct lack of class.’

This is what defines vulgarity??? Not bashing celebrities’ red carpet looks. Not cursing out fellow cast members on Celebrity Apprentice. Not getting so many plastic surgeries that your face looks like it’s been sandblasted. No, toting expensive arm candy is the new vulgarity.

But, um, Joan, isn’t that you in the picture with a Hermes bag on your arm? One of the same bags that you vilified Posh for carrying? Those who live in glass houses…

Demi Lovato’s Givenchy Tinhan Old Pepe hobo is right on time

You know how to tell that you’re getting older? When you start to draw a blank on hearing the names of new celebrity starlets. Demi Lovato?!? Who’s that? The only Demi we know is of G.I. Jane shaved head fame, married to Ashton Kutcher, years older and isn’t a singer (at least that we know of). Apparently Demi Lovato is a fairly recent actress/singer who, thanks to our age, we probably would not have noticed if it weren’t for her haute handbag. Though we’re clearly behind the times in keeping up with these newbies, Lovato’s Givenchy Tinhan Old Pepe Hobo is right on time. The bag has one of the weirdest names ever, but a super sleek design that makes up for it. Made of wrinkled leather, this hobo features a V-shaped dip with a rounded insert and flat handles and zippers on the sides to expand. We still don’t know Demi Lovato but we know we heart her Givenchy bag.

It’s been a while since our last Rihanna handbag spotting. She’s been on the go a bit less now that her album is out and her promos are coming to a close. Suri Cruise is among the new set of celebrity kids that don designer duds, just like their parents. Remember Angelina Jolie and baby Zahara toted the same mommy and mini versions of the Valentino Braided Leather Shoulder bag? Well now Suri and Katie are doing the same. Little Suri carried the miniature version of the same Salvatore Ferragamo Sofia bag that mom Katie Holmes also has. Suri’s designer handbag retails for $850; Katie’s goes for $1,850. The petite fashionista was spotted boarding a helicopter with her parents in Jamaica with her designer purse in hand. Kim Kardashian’s Adriana Castro croc clutch doubles as an engagement ring cover

It’s rumored that Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush got engaged this past Super Bowl weekend but knowing Kim and her family’s business sense, we probably won’t hear about it until an upcoming episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The pair had dinner at Prime 112 restaurant in Miami with Kim’s mom Kris Jenner, and all parties looked great. Kim, the center of attention, stood out in a print tank dress accessorized with the Adriana Castro Crocodile Nina black croc clutch from Castro’s Fall 2010 collection. And she used the bag along with her jacket to strategically cover her left hand as they exited the restaurant. And the three of them kept their poker faces on. Amanda Seyfried visits “Late Show With David Letterman”

After about a decade at number one, it was inevitable that Avatar would finally be knocked out of its number one spot. We just didn’t think Dear John would be the movie to do it! The romantic film featuring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried is said to be the next version of The Notebook. While it doesn’t look particularly interesting, Amanda Seyfried did when she went on Letterman last week to promote the film. And while every time I see her I still picture her as on of the ‘Plastics’ - a group of girls hating on Lindsay Lohan’s character in Mean Girls, this lady has grown up a lot. (While Lindsay continues to regress and look more and more plastic - how ironic is that?) But Amanda is a ‘Mean Girl’ no more, and she’s got one mean stylist. Her entire look, from her red dress to her studded Prada bag, totally makes us want to hate on her.

Kim Kardashian in Herve Leger at the Leather & Laces Super Bowl Party

Kim Kardashian partied it up this weekend at the Leather & Laces Super Bowl Party presented by Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism in Miami Beach, Florida. Mom and manager Kris Jenner was spotted at the party too. Kim was there with her family, of course, to celebrate the first trip to the Super Bowl for her boyfriend Reggie Bush, and his team, the New Orleans Saints. Kim looked great but wore her usual red carpet uniform of a slim-fitted dress - this time a blush pink number with fringe down the sides - accessorized with nude Christian Louboutin heels and a pink Hervé Léger Leather Multifaceted Oval Clutch. The dress looks like a Hervé Léger too.

Congrats to the Saints for taking home the Super Bowl win! Perhaps wedding bells are in the air now for Kim and Reggie…

‘The Hills ‘frenemies smile for the cameras at the Maxim party

The girls from ‘The Hills’ put aside their differences and posed side by side on the red carpet for the 2010 Maxim Party at The Raleigh in Miami, Florida. Is anyone else buying the fake hatred we see on the show? Frenemies Audrina Patridge, Kristin Cavallari, Lo Bosworth and Stephanie Pratt were just some of the celebrities in town for the 2010 Superbowl (between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts). We know the ‘Hills’ girls could probably care less about the game – they’re more interested in shopping, partying, and dating. Football players, ironically.

Michelle Williams rocks a new hairstyle and the Sang A. Jade python clutch

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope - it’s Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams brand new haircut. She was spotted hanging out at Ne-Yo’s annual pre-Grammy midnight brunch at the W Hotel in Hollywood. And her new hairstyle left much to be desired. We get it - it’s the new Hollywood short hair look. Rihanna works it well, as does Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss. But it’s not really working for Michelle. Anyway, she was dressed in a cute blue satin Disaya jumpsuit and accessorized with silver python Sang A. Jade clutch which we love. The outfit slightly made up for crazy hairstyle. Only slightly.

Celebrity handbag spotting: Rashida Jones with the Proenza Schouler PS1

Rashida Jones was spotted out shopping at LA hotspot Fred Segal. She looked carefree and casual in a button down shirt, skirt and sandals. We wish we were in a place warm enough to wear sandals in January! We’re wishing we had that Proenza Schouler PS1 Medium satchel of hers too.

Scarlett Johansson teams with MANGO to design Haiti handbag

While other celebrities are writing checks to help the relief efforts in Haiti, actress Scarlett Johansson decided to try a different tack. She partnered with Spanish brand MANGO (she’s their spokesperson) to design an exclusive handbag with all profits going to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake. (Proceeds from the bags sales will be donated to Oxfam.)

The canvas bag features a print representing the ancient cartography of Haiti. The top reads “Supporting the people of Haiti. Designed by Scarlett Johansson.”

The actress said: “I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Mango to promote conscious consumerism and to benefit Oxfam’s Haiti Earthquake Response Fund. By purchasing this bag, which I specially designed, you are helping to provide life saving assistance like clean water to the people of Haiti.”

The Haiti handbag will be exclusively distributed in all MANGO stores worldwide beginning in March and retails for $29.90.

Thandie Newton was spotted out and about in London town looking like…Rihanna. It’s unexpected but still a nice look for her. She pulled out a scalloped-edge lacy top with lots of skin showing, leather leggings, and mesh shoes. Was she coming from a theme party or is this how Thandie always ‘dresses down’? Whatever, we love the look. That, and the Chanel Flap bag tucked under her arm.

Vida for España (an addition to the Vida by Eva Mendes home collection) is a hand-painted tabletop line featuring vibrant colors and elegant patterns that were inspired by Eva’s childhood memories of spending time at the table with family and friends. Aubrey O’Day turned a trip to the salon into her own personal photoshoot this weekend. Guess that’s what happens when you have no career to speak of, gotta take advantage of ‘fame’ any way you can get it. The former Danity Kane singer was spotted visiting Valerie Salon in Los Angeles, California and while she was smiling for the paps, her face looked waxier than Heidi Montag’s. But at least Aubrey’s zig zag print dress and Amarante Louis Vuitton Alma MM looked nice.

You know you’re growing up when you start carrying Balenciaga bags. Vanessa Hudgens seems to have traded in her JJ Winters fringe and zip hobos for a Balenciaga Giant City with gold hardware. She was spotted shopping this weekend at Diesel on Melrose in Los Angeles, California. She toted her purchases along with her haute handbag. The Balenciaga collection of bags are ‘new’ classics and absolute must-haves for chic celebrity chicks, like Vanessa herself!

There are so many things we could say about Bai Ling’s outfit that she wore traveling through Los Angeles International Airport, but that would take more time than we have. Or care to waste. So we’ll just focus on the one, non-kooky piece in her look - her Sonia Rykiel Studded Domino bag. It’s a great bag that would look better on the arms of a less crazy, more important celebrity. That is all.

Fergie loves the Vita Fede Attura clutch in gunmetal

Not sure how Fergie’s feeling about Josh (Duhamel) these days. Have you seen them lately? They might be standing next to one another but there’s clearly a lot of tension. Their ’stiff, can’t face one another’ body language speaks volumes. And although they may have been spotted ‘together’ on the red carpet at recent events, Fergie seems to be more in love with her other piece of arm candy – the Vita Fede Attura clutch. This gunmetal bag has been on her arm more than Josh lately. She was spotted carrying it both outside the Hotel Martinez in Cannes and on the red carpet at the NRJ Music Awards.

Celebrity manbag spotting: Jay-Z in Paris with Louis Vuitton Ostrich Skin Backpack

Well it looks like Beyonce isn’t the only luxury bag lover in the Carter household. She and her hubby Jay-Z, recently named ‘Hollywood’s richest couple‘, have been taking in all the Paris Menswear Fashion Week shows and Mr. Shawn Carter was spotted in Paris carrying an Ostrich Skin Backpack ($24,900) from Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection. He sported the bag with a plaid jacket with leather sleeves, Oliver Peoples ‘Daddy B’ sunglasses, jeans and Timberlands.

The grey bag features nothing more than luxe ostrich skin – no logos, no monogram canvas, and minimal hardware. The bag is the ultimate in luxury, and really looks more like Hermes or Bottega Veneta bags, in all its simplicity. Guess the couple that buys luxury bags together, stays together. And it seems like Beyonce’s high fashion influence is rubbing off on Jay.
