Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s night out with L.A.M.B.
March 8, 2010 by Ehmonie Hainey · Leave a Comment
If Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale aren’t one of the hottest, hippest musical couples, we don’t know who is! The husband and wife were spotted out in West Hollywood strolling hand in hand, looking quite cozy. And fashionable, of course. Gwen is the designer so it only makes sense she would be dressed to the nines. She wore a chic black cutout dress accessorized with black stiletto booties, the L.A.M.B Morgan Clutch and her signature red lip. Gavin looked laid-back in his denim jacket and baggy black cargo pants. The couple that stays fashionable together stays together!

Sophia Bush hosted the LeSportsac 35th Anniversary Celebration in NYC this past week. I’ve always liked LeSportsac bags, especially the collaboration collection they did with Gwen Stefani a few years ago. Read more
L.A.M.B Soft Signature Wiltshire Bag

Gwen Stefani has a distinct rock-star rasta girl style and it comes across in her designs. The L.A.M.B Soft Signature Wiltshire Bag looks like it came straight from her ‘Rocksteady’ days. The brown handbag has a gorgeous ombré screen overlaying the L.A.M.B. logo print. Black and white L.A.M.B. logo graphics are screened across the face of the bag in the form of an ‘X’. The leather trimmed double handles and edges along with the gold hardware give it a conservative touch to balance out the edginess of the design.
Haute or Not: Gwen Stefani’s New Little L.A.M.B.

Congrats Gwen! We hear that you and Gavin are expecting another ‘little lamb’ in the Stefani/Rossdale household.

However, WTF is up with this new L.A.M.B. bag!?! The L.A.M.B. Bullseye Mandeville Satchel ($425) has a bullseye target with a lamb in the center and looks a bit ominous. Are we now condoning L.A.M.B. on lamb violence, Gwen? The bag itself is typical L.A.M.B. - the diamond pattern with old English “L”s throughout, and the striped flap down the center, but that lamb just throws everything off. It’s off center and looks accidental, not intentional. I think the bag would have looked a lot better without it. What do you think? Do you love or hate the lamb target? Is it haute or not?
Haute or Not: Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. / Louis Vuitton Lookalike Bag

I’ve always loved Gwen Stefani’s style, from back in the days of pink hair and skateboard chic to her present look of modern day Jean Harlow. The ALWAYS fashionable rockstar was seen out and about with her gorgeous family (Gavin and Kingston), and her new L.A.M.B. handbag which suspiciously resembles another bag I’ve seen:
I love the Damier Speedy so naturally I also love the L.A.M.B. bag since they almost look like identical twins! I like the classic feel of the Speedy, but Gwen’s bag has a bit of ‘rockstar’ mixed in. The black and white checkerboard pattern looks great with the multicolored stripe down the middle - not too busy and just the right amount of ‘edge’. Also, the vachetta leather contrast trim and front pocket breaks up the pattern and adds some practicality to the otherwise trendy tote. What do you think? No Longer a Little L.A.M.B.

Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. line grows up. Her debut line of handbags and apparel were definitely cute, but had that trendy, Gwen Stefani rock star-style - with plenty of rasta colors, camouflage, prints and stripes and plastered L.A.M.B. logos.

Now, L.A.M.B. bags are trending toward simpler shapes and colors. I love the L.A.M.B. Sutton Satchel. It’s a great Fall bag, as well as a great convertible bag. For those of you who don’t like to spend a lot of money on a trend piece, the Sutton is a great investment.

It’s a shoulder bag made of distressed brown leather, with a bit of shine to jazz up any outfit. Minimal hardware keeps it looking clean, and practical buckled flap pockets on both sides of the bag let you store extra stuff. I like that it also has two side handles, that don’t make the bag look awkward, but are also very practical, so you can carry it in a variety of ways. This is definitely something the more mature Gwen Stefani would design, and wear.
Now, if she would just work on those L.A.M.B. shoes…
A Little L.A.M.B. and Some Harajuku Love

Gwen Stefani is a true celebrity fashionista, with her own unique style both on stage and everyday (sans the help of an over-hyped stylist). Both of her handbag lines, L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers represent who she is, and who I am, for that matter.
With all the ‘It’ bags out there, I find myself being drawn to purses that take themselves a bit less seriously. I prefer tongue-in-cheek bags, interesting prints, and anything exceptionally different. So I adore her collections, the classic line stamped with Gwen influences; the other, a tribute to Japanese style, described as a ‘fatal attraction to cuteness.’ Cheeky and chic, these bags are haute, just like Gwen herself.
