VBH has come a long way from its simple yet chic envelope clutches. The handbag line created by V. (Vernon) Bruce Hoeksema, former president of Valentino, debuted back in 2000 in multiple hues and variations of leather, python, eelskin and other exotic materials. The brand later entered into big bag territory and the results were just as stunning. Our splurge of the day is this VBH Animal-Print Brera Tote. This bag exudes jet-setting chic. Made of luxurious natural calf hair in an interesting mix of animal prints (tiger? leopard?), the ‘Brera’ Tote features two sturdy leather rolled top handles, peaked sides, a two-way top zip closure plus a front lock with a dangling key with leather cover. To add to the luxury, the bag is lined in suede and is made in Italy, from the finest materials.
Measures 10 1/2″H x 19 1/2″W x 6 1/2″D.
Splurge price: $3,950 at Bergdorf Goodman.
