Strange But True: A Chanel bag made from Beef Jerky

Chanel-Bag-made from Beef-Jerky Nancy WuLook at what Lady Gaga started. Her MTV Video Music Awards outfit seemed to spark the idea of meat products worn as fashion items, like meat necklaces. I don’t eat beef jerky, let alone want to carry it in handbag form.

Nancy Wu, a product design student at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, crafted her ‘100% Beef Jerky’ purse, entirely out of – you guessed it – beef jerky. Somehow and amazingly, she sewed together sheets of jerky to create this ‘lo-fi’ bag. It comes with a signature gold chain link handle and the gold Chanel interlocking C logo. With Chanel Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld on a perennial diet, we wonder if he’d be pleased or annoyed with this jerky bag?
