On my wedding day, I desperately wanted to carry a Judith Leiber minaudiere. But no matter how gorgeous the bags, I just couldn’t justify the price for a one-time event. Boy do I wish Overture by Judith Leiber existed then!
Leiber’s new line is described as for the “Girls Who Party”, rather than for the “Ladies Who Lunch”. The collection will consist of 15 bags, that are unmistakably Judith Leiber-style: think geometric minaudieres, crystal-encrusted clutch bags, studded and agate-detailed bags, along with some large suede day bags also accented with studs. A sneak peek at the bags reveals a satin minaudiere with geometric print details, a black calf hair clutch and a blue on blue studded minaudiere. More Overture bags will come in violet and other jewel tones, along with some metallics and leopard print.
This accessibly priced collection will range between $200 and $700 and will be available in luxury department stores as well as Judith Leiber boutiques, naturally, in Fall 2011. Overture shoes and belts may be launched as well, in the future.
We love this new line of party clutches that are just as red carpet-worthy as their Judith Leiber counterparts, but more affordably priced. What do you think of Overture by Judith Leiber evening bags?
