From the man who re-established Coach as a major player in the accessories market comes a mature collection of stunning handbags. Reed Krakoff is Coach’s Creative Director but his namesake line is full of pieces that will have you whipping out your credit cards mercilessly. You can see clear similarities in his line and some of the Coach pieces but while Coach is for multi-generational women (the masses), this line is for true luxury handbag lovers (women who are true handbag snobs).
The bags are said to have a signature mix of utility and femininity and you can clearly see both in the collection. Our favorite piece – the Boxer II – exhibits both a softness and structure, with an interesting pairing of olive flannel duffle and black sharkskin. It appears to be softer on the bottom, while taking shape on the top, with structured top handles, flap closure and a unique twisted ‘belt’ detail. The rest of the collection is equally lovely to look at as well. The bags are beautifully made, with structured silhouettes throughout, and contrasting bodies made of plonge nappa, grain and bridle leather with unusual exotics like the above-mentioned sharkskin, as well as alligator, viper, python and kid fur.
If you’re in the market for a bag that is truly different, look no further than Reed Krakoff handbags!
