Haute or Not: Bottega Veneta Cushion Tote

I can’t say that I’m the biggest fan of Bottega Veneta bags but I’ve never seen a bag of theirs that I didn’t like. Until now. Bottega decided to take an ottoman, add handles to it and call it a handbag. This fugly pillow with rolled leather straps is called the Bottega Veneta Cushion Tote certainly lives up to its name. It is exactly what it says it is - a cushion with handles to tote it around. I’m all about design innovation but this bag/pillow/footrest just looks absolutely ridiculous. Who in the world would carry this thing around?

What are your thoughts? Is it a haute handbag or something you’d throw on (or under) your bed?
