Eco-Friendly Bag du Jour: Kling Bow vs Stern bag in black

Even though Earth Day has passed, we should still do our sustainable part throughout the year. But most earth-friendly handbag options consist of canvas totes with some witty saying slapped on the front. So not creative. That’s why I love Natasha Kimling Kwan‘s Kling eco-friendly bags. Her line of clutches look like buttery soft leather but are actually made of a polyurethane based fabric that looks and feels just like lambskin. Kwan believes that animals should be treated humanely, so you’ll find no skins or hides here. And Kling bags don’t contain any harmful toxins, don’t stiffen or crack and are scratch, nick and blemish resistant. Can you say the same for your leather and suede bags?

My fave is the Kling Bow vs Stern bag in black ($186). Measuring at 11.5″ x 5.25″, this black, cream and raspberry clutch has a nautical feel and is the perfect outdoors bag, both in terms of design and function. Carry it through the day and clutch it into the night – it’s versatile and chic and knowing the animal-friendly bent will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside too!
